Bei Cree macht seit Anfang Juni Marina Cumiskey aus Irland ein Auslandspraktikum, worüber wir uns sehr freuen. Über die Kollegen von Rhomberg Bau, bzw. die Organisation IAESTE, welche Auslandspraktika für Studenten organisiert, kam die 23-jährige zu uns, hat mittlerweile schon den Großteil ihres Praktikums hinter sich, wird uns aber noch bis Anfang September unterstützen (falls wir sie wirklich gehen lassen). Marina studiert in Dublin im zweiten Jahr Civil Engineering und konnte bei uns erste Erfahrungen in der technischen Abteilung sammeln. Neben der Arbeit war es für sie auch eine neue Herausforderung, für einige Zeit in einem anderen Land zu leben und die Vorarlberger Kultur ein wenig kennenzulernen. Sie selbst sagt dazu: »Arriving as a 2nd year Civil Engineering student from Ireland with little or no German I did not know what to expect, but I have certainly not been disappointed. The Company and Austrians alike have welcomed me with open arms and helped me to find my feet. It has been really encouraging to work with a company that uses innovative ideas to tackle environmental issues. I have learnt so much about the importance of sustainability and will be sure to implement such principles not only into my future Engineering Projects but also into my daily life. Most importantly I have had lots of fun and I cannot believe that I will be back in Dublin in such a short while.« You're welcome, Marina.
